NEW YORK LAW ENFORCEMENT FOUNDATION

The New York Law Enforcement Foundation was founded in 1995 by Reginald Ward, Deputy Police Commissioner, Mount Vernon , New York , Police Department. Prior to this, Commissioner Ward served for many years in an Executive capacity on the Board of Directors of another Foundation that supports law enforcement.

The New York Law Enforcement Foundation Board of Directors is composed of men and women of various race, religion and ethnic backgrounds. They are concerned business and civic leaders who believe in the strong support for law enforcement. They provide their endless time and financial support to the Foundation and serve without remuneration.

The Board is also pleased to have Honorary Directors, they are current, former and retired City, State and Federal Judges, Commissioners, Chiefs, Directors and Agents, also Chairpersons of Law Enforcement Boards, Clergy and Attorneys providing guidance and support to the Foundation without remuneration.

The Foundation supports City, State and Federal Law-Enforcement Departments and their members by providing equipment to Departments and scholarships and financial support to these members and their families. The Foundation also honors members of law enforcement with awards.

We are a 501 (c)(3) Not-for-Profit Foundation.
